My kids were so excited to start school this year. They are going to a new school this year. I cant believe how big they both are. Jared is in 6th grade, last year of grade school. Kaylee is in 2nd grade. I look at these two and I am getting so old. Will was so sad all day while they were gone he missed them so much. We are looking forward to a great year at Mapleton.

Camping at White River

We went camping at White River with friends last week and had so much fun. We had a great time riding ATVs, riding horses, eating great food, and sharing stories around the campfire. Kaylee absolutely could not get enough of the horses and ponies. She is our little cowgirl. We actually got Matt and Janette to come along, and we are so glad they could come. It was a fun and relaxing time, and I even rode the horses. Its been a long time since I had been on a horse, and man was I sore. We had a great time with friends and look forward to doing that again.

San Francisco

In July, K.D. had a meeting in San Francisco for a couple of days and he took me along with him. We stayed a resort at the bottom of the Golden Gate Bridge and It was beautiful. While K.D. played in a golf tournament one day, I went with some people from his company to tour some of the city. We went to the Pier, Fishermans Wharf, and Ghiradelli Square. Friday night we went to Wicked, and that was the highlight of the trip for me. I really loved it, It was amazing. It was so nice to get away for a couple of days and thanks to Janette and Mom for help with the kids.

4th of July Camping

Our family celebrated the fouth of July camping this year. We love the mountains and spending time together riding ATVs, eating great food, and relaxing. The weather was very cold, and I about froze to death. The kids love playing with the cousins and making smores on the fire. We are a family that loves to shoot trap and we shot for hours in the evenings. I think we shot about 700 shotgun shells, I guess that was our version of fireworks. We love this great country we live in and are so thankful that we have the freedom to do the things we enjoy.

Twilight

Yes me and my friends were crazy this year and went to the opening of Twilight. It was the midnight showing. It was lots of fun..

Art City Days

Jared got invited to ride on the float for the 4-H in the art city days parade. I think it was the cutest float in the parade. We even got my dad to go watch the parade.
My dad plays in the art city day golf tournament every year and KD was his caddie and we all went up to watch him finish. He play really well the first day and the second day he blew it. That is pretty usually for him.

Bear Hunt

KD and Jared got to go on a bear hunt down to the San Juan. Jared had a blast on the boys only trip. They both thought it is was really neat to see the bear in the tree.

Its stock show time again...

Yes its that time of year again. Jared showed another pig at the Utah State Junior Livestock show. Jared had a great time, he placed 4th over all out of 250+ kids. It was so exciting when he got picked to come back for star class. I don't think he could wipe the smile off of his face. We are really proud of Jared and all the hard work he put into his pig. It stood out from all the other pigs, Jared and KD had it looking so clean and shiny. Congrats on all the hard work Jared.

This past month we had the opportunity to travel to Cozumel, Mexico with K.D.'s company. He earned the trip by making the Chair mans Honor Council, which is a few of the top sales representatives in the company. We were there for five days, and it poured rain most of the trip. The resort was beautiful, and the company was great. It was alot of fun meeting new people and making new friendships. We had so much fun shopping in town, and I definitely found some great deals. We took a jeep tour of the island one day, and loved seeing the sights. The food was surprisingly great(I was scared about that part) and we had so many great meals. While I went shopping with the girls one day, K.D. went with the guys golfing. The course was spectacular, but he wasn't so sure about the huge iguanas and ten foot crocodiles at the edge of the water hazards. The weather was the only downer of the trip, but we braved it and had a wonderful time. It was so nice to just get away from the grind of life for a while. Thanks so much to my mom and Janette for watching the kids. We couldn't dot without your help! Hopefully we can join the group again in the years to come.

Spring Break in Moab!!!

In april we went to Moab for the second year in a row for Spring Break. We have grown to love the beauty of the scenery and have such a great time riding on the slickrock. We have an awesome group of people that we ride with and the group seems to get larger every year. My parents and their friends, and their kids and grankids all gather for the fun. We get to ride in some of the most beautiful and spectacular country you can find during the day, and then hang out in the evening with friends and have a great time. Jared is getting so good driving his ATV and thinks he is pretty cool now. This trip is one that we all look forward to so much every year, and we can't wait to go there again!
