Cruise

KD won a short weekend cruise with Fort Dodge. We left on friday and returned on monday. It was a pretty wild and crazy cruise. I think 90% of the people were college kids. We went Ensenada Mexico. It was nice getting to know more of the Walco people.

Lake Tahoe

I tagged alonged to Lake Tahoe with KD. He had meetings. So while he was in meeting all day I was so lazy and it was so nice. I read Twilight, I have to say its the first time I have read these books. I think a read all of them with in two weeks and saw the movie. On friday KD only had meetings until noon so we got to drive around and check out Lake Tahoe, it is really pretty and it was just a nice little getaway to be lazy. I also got a massage and it was wonderful. I have to say I am so spoiled.

Summer 2009

Oh my this summer has just flown bye. I cant believe its almost time for school to start. My computers have been broken alot of the time so I have not been able to blog (not to mention we are seriously never home!!). It has been a a really busy summer. First of all we went with my family in June to Yellowstone and Teton National Parks. It was so much fun, it was still pretty cold and rained almost every day. We did not see a lot of animals, but it was still a lot of fun. My favorite part I would have to say is the boat ride on Jenny Lake and we hiked up to the hidden falls, it was so pretty. My cousin Stacy and her family drove over from Rexburg for dinner one night and it was so nice to see them. Then over the 4th of July, we went up Scofield camping with my family and it was tons of fun. I loved watching the fireworks over the lake. Then KD had meetings in Texas the first part of July. He won a cruise for us in September to Mexico, and then a trip to Cozumel next spring for making the Chairmans Honor Council. Although he doesn't like me telling people, he also won the Dairy Salesman of the year for Walco which was a huge honor for him. So while he was there, I had a girls weekend in Vegas and it was awesome! We went to KÀ by Cirque du Soleil it was spectacular. I would love to take KD and see it. Most of the weekend we just layed by the pool and relaxed. On the 24th of July we went to Matt and Janette's house for a BBQ and water party, the kids had so much fun there. Matt is definately the biggest kid we think, although Jared and the kids ganged up on our brother in law Adam, and he got the worst of the drenching. Last week we went to the temple open house in Oquir Mountain with my family. Then later last week, Daniel, KD's little brother got married in Manti to Stephanie. Sorry I have combined everything for our entire summer into one blog. I have just thrown an assortment of pictures from the summer together in a slide show. Hopefully now I get my computers fixed and I can keep up on bloging. It never slows down around here. This week I am off to Lake Tahoe with KD, he has meetings but I am just going to relax with a book by the pool for several days. We have had an amazing summer, and Im sure the fun is going to just keep on going. I just hope I can continue to keep up!!

Stock Show time it must be Spring....

A couple of weeks ago Jared got to show a hog at the Utah State Junior Livestock Show in Spanish Fork. He has been a member of mini 4H and showed at the local club shows, but this was his first big stockshow. He was so excited to do it, and he really had a good time the whole week. He was so proud of his blue ribbon that I think he showed it to every person that he came in contact with that day, even strangers. He was such a good helper to so many different people at the show, any many people commented to us at what a good kid we have. We are so proud of Jared and the good example he is to our family. Now we get to travel out to Vernal to the Uintah Basin stockshow the first week of June and do it all over again. Jared is very excited to show a pig again, and we are looking forward to making the trip out to watch him. We owe a big thanks to Dennis Boyer and all his service in helping the kids in the Springville 4H club, he is awesome and does a great job. Well I'm sure the next two weeks will just fly bye, but we will be looking forward to it.

Spring Break inMoab

I can't believe how fast the month of April went by!! I realized I hadn't updated the blog in over a month. We have been so busy, it seems like we never slow down. We went to Moab for spring break to ride the atvs this year and can I say it was incredible! We hadn't ever been down there before, and I think we have found a place to add on to our favorite places to go list. We had so many people with us to make the trip even better. We had my parents, both of my sisters and their families, the Wilsons, the Taylors and their daughter Shauna and her family, Shaunas brother and sister in law and their family, and our great freinds the Noyes family. We stayed at an RV Park and rode right out of camp to some awesome trails. On the first day we went to Gemini Bridges and Bull Canyon, where the views were amazing. I am still wondering why we were walking out on those natural bridges that were 12 feet wide with a 200 foot drop off each side, yikes!! We rode the next two days on the Monitor and Merrimack trail and played in the sand a bit. We rode to both sides of Wipeout hill, but none of us were brave (or stupid) enough to ride down that. We were entertained one afternon for a couple of hours watching the motorcycles and Jeeps try to manuever it. The slickrock makes for some really cool riding. We got a chance to explore through Arches National Park in the truck one evening and the views were spectacular. We had so much fun on the trip that we stayed over an extra day and came home on Monday. Thanks again to Janette and Matt and Ann and Paul for watching Will, they are the greatest! We couldn't have gone and enjoyed the trip like we did without them. Well this was definately our first trip to Moab, but it won't be our last I can assure you. Great riding, and awesome friends and family made our spring break the best!!

The new member of our family!

This is our new puppy.. She is so sweet and a really good puppy. She doe not have a name yet. If you know me at all I am terrible at names, our kids did not have names until left the hospital. So someday she will have a name. The kids love her very much. She is very playful and cute. I don't know what I have got my self into. I told KD I needed a puppy to watch over me while he was out of town and he said what is this tiny little 2 pound thing going to do if someone breaks in? Well I love her and so does he, he just wont admit it. Just like he loves my Van and he wont admit it. That's a guy for you. Well it will be an adventure for all of us.

My poor baby!!

So my poor baby has to wear a helmet!! He has a flat head in the back, which resulted from the way I carried him during prenancy. Hopefully he will only have it on a couple of months. They had to make a mold of his head so they can make the helmet. The mold was a plaster cast of his head, and boy he sure wasn't happy about doing it. We will have the helmet in a couple of weeks. I will show him and his new helmet off when we get it!!

Nascar Weekend in Las Vegas

Alot of sun, fun, and fast cars, it has to be Nascar weekend in Las Vegas! This is probably one of our favorite trips of the entire year. We love getting out of the cold and going down to play golf, enjoying a nice massage, playing a little blackjack, and of course watching the stars of Nascar. We have such an awesome group of family and friends, and some of K.D.'s customers that we get to hang out with. This year was especially awesome because we took Jared, my dad and Keith to their first race. Jareds favorite driver Matt Kenseth had an engine failure, and only made it a few laps. Dad bought a Kyle Busch hat just to help stir the pot a bit with the group of people around us (imagine that!!), and Kyle ended up winning the race!! Of course, as hard as I cheered, Dale Jr. still didn't win. Oh well, maybe next year things will go better. Jared loved seeing the 98 car crash and erupt into flames right in front of us, he thought that was so cool. The weather was really nice all weekend, and we enjoyed the time away so much. I owe a big thanks to my mom for watching the little ones so that I could go, she is the greatest! THANKS MOM!!!! Well,we are looking forward to next year again already.

Baby boy in the tub

Will is such a fun baby. He is so happy all the time. He had shots today and has been so happy all day. He loves the tub, he swings his hips and its the funniest thing. I cant believe he 6 months old, time is flying.

Vegas

This last weekend, which happened to be Valentine's, we decided to head to Vegas. KD had a big order to take to Mesquite, so we decided to make a weekend out of it. Our friends the Copes decided to come along. We had lots of fun, but I found Vegas way to busy for me, there were so many people. The first night we went to Excaliber and let the kids play some games. The next day we went to Bass Pro Shops and the kids thought that was really neat. I think KD enjoyed it more than anyone, he got a free golf lesson. Then we decided to drive out to Hoover Dam, and that was pretty cool. We had an early dinner because it was Valentines, and then went and hung out at our hotel. It was a pretty short trip, but was fun. I can't believe than in less than a week in half we will be back down there for Nascar.

K.D. and I decided we could all use a little mental health break since the kids had a couple of days off of school. Mom and dad are spending the winter down in Mesa and always bragging about the warm weather and sunshine, so we thought we had better head on down to see what it was all about. What a change it was!! After an 11 hour drive Wednesday night, we made it to Mesa at 2am. KD and dad got to golf a couple of times, and of course mom and I hit the outlet malls. The kids got to go swimming in the heated pool a couple of times, and we went to Bass Pro Shops to look around. And then mom introduced us to the Swap Meet. It was crazy, it's like a big collection of booths like you would find at the fair or some boutique. The only difference is, that it was ENORMOUS! We actually went three days in a row(Yes, we are nuts), and I'm not sure we still saw all that they had. I had a great time haggling on purses with an Iranian guy and if you know me, you know my love for purses. Needless to say, I came home with three new ones, and my husband is still shaking his head and cant even understand that. Oh well, it was a real blast. Just the 75 degree days and picking oranges and lemons off of the trees seemed like the perfect medicine for the Utah winter blues. Thanks so much to mom and dad for graciously hosting us and putting up with us, they are awesome! Well, we are home now, back to reality (14 degrees when we pulled into home), and we will have to brave out the next few weeks of winter. In just 6 short weeks, Nascar will be here and we can get down to enjoy the sunshine in Vegas. It is quite honestly one of our favorite trips of the entire year, and we can hardly wait!!

I can't believe that Jared is 10. He is getting so big. I don't know what we would do with out him, he is such a good kid and a great helper. I love him so much and I am so lucky that he knows what is right and stands for what he believes in.

We had such a good time on his birthday we went to Tepanyaki to eat, Jared and Kaylee thought it was awesome. Then we came home Matt, Janette and Daniel came to see Jared. Matt and Janette brought Jared back a shirt from Hawaii and Kaylee a dress. WE gave Jared guitar hero for the wii and he had a blast playing it. I think Matt had lots of fun playing too. I think it was happy birthday for Jared. Daniel spoiled Jared and gave him his old x-box, Jared thought that was way cool.
